SPECIAL SCRIPTING: Auto-Skirt

With Feydor the team decided to have the cloth details rigged rather than simulated to allow more control over the movement of the pieces. I scripted an auto-skirt system for the skirt with individual controls for the joints in order to fix clipping in more extreme poses. I also used a modified FK chain in order to allow deformations of the banner and the belt.

With the Lich King, I had to come up with a solution for how he would express emotions given the decision to remain anatomically accurate. In order to accomplish this, I added individual controls to the crown and limited controls to the brow ridge to help subtly push the emotions. I also created a system of locators and constraints to allow for the pauldrons to automatically adjust.

Although Gwen did not require extra scripting, I did face challenges with applying skin weights and blendshapes in order to avoid clipping with her body movements. Gwen is a very compact character with short limbs, so I had to be very mindful when placing joints and applying skin weights.
